Clinical Supervision & Perinatal Consultation
Meet Your Mentor
“Erin is the real deal - an expert therapist and clinical supervisor. She has the "it" factor that can't be learned in school. Erin is my top referral, especially for women experiencing perinatal challenges like postpartum depression and anxiety.”
Are you a therapist or graduate student working with pregnant or postpartum clients and wanting more support, confidence, or depth in your work?
Perinatal mental health is a specialized area of practice that requires thoughtful assessment, nuanced clinical judgment, and approaches that go beyond symptom management alone. Many well-intentioned therapy models fall short when they don’t account for the relational, developmental, cultural, and systemic realities of motherhood.
I offer clinical supervision and consultation for therapists who want to:
Feel more confident and grounded when treating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
Move beyond strictly cognitive or skills-based approaches and work more relationally and insightfully
Integrate attachment theory, trauma-informed care, and parts-based work into perinatal treatment
Apply an intersectional, feminist lens that considers power, identity, and social context
Deepen their understanding of concepts such as matrescence, patriarchal motherhood, the mother wound, and how early attachment experiences shape the transition to parenthood
My approach to supervision is collaborative, reflective, and developmentally informed. I aim to support both clinical competence and professional identity, while keeping client safety, ethics, and real-world practice front and center.
